Essential Qualification

The candidates willing to apply for this requirement examination will have to posses the following minimum essential qualifications.

1. Graduate in Law from a recognized university and enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961 till the last date of submission of application form.

2. Candidates should posses sound health, bears good moral character and is not involved in or related to any criminal cases involving moral turpitude.

Jharkhand Civil Judge Exam Pattern 2023

The Jharkhand Judicial Services (Civil Judge - Junior Division) Examination will consists of three satages, viz-

Preliminary Entrance Test
Main Examination
Interview or Oral Examination

Preliminary Entrance Test (100 Marks)

The Preliminary Entrance Test shall be of 100 Marks in aggregate.

The marks obtained in preliminary examination shall not be counted for the purpose of final selection or for the preparation of final 'Merit List'.

There shall be 'No Negative Marking'.

Duration of the Test- 02 Hours

The Candidates up to 15 Times of the total vacancies will be called for appearing in the Main Examination

Main Examination (400 Marks)

The Main Examination will consists of Four Papers viz. Paper- I, Paper- II, Paper- III & Paper- IV by contributing a total of 100 marks by each paper.

Duration : 03 Hours for each paper

Appearing in each paper will be compulsory

Interview

The Candidates up to 3 Times of the total vacancies will be called for appearing in the Interview or Oral Examination based on the marks obtained in main examination.

Minimum Qualifying Marks in Interview

Unreserved/EWS - 25%

ST/SC/EBC & BC - 20%

Mode of Selection

The Final selection of the candidates for the above stated post will be based on the 'Merit List', prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Main Examination and Interview.

The prelims exam of Jharkhand Judiciary will consist of MCQs. There are a total of 100 marks and the duration of the exam is for 2 hours.
