The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released the revised notification for the Jharkhand Technical Graduate Level Comined Competitive Examination (JTGLCCE) - 2026 under Advertisement No. 01/2026. Revised Vacancy Distribution
After withdrawal of three posts, recruitment will be conducted for the following positions:
1. Assistant Entomologist, Vector Borne Disease Control Programme
- Vacancies: 02
- Pay Level: Level-7
- Salary: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400
- Qualification: Master’s degree in Science - Biology (Entomology) from a recognized university.
An Assistant Entomologist in the Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (VBDCP) plays a vital public health role. Pattern of Examination
The examination will be conducted in two stages:
- Preliminary Examination
- Main Examination
However, if the number of applications is 50,000 or less, JSSC may decide to conduct the Main Examination directly without holding a Preliminary Examination. If applications exceed this limit, a Preliminary Examination may be conducted. The Commission also reserves the right to directly conduct the Main Examination depending on circumstances. (As stated in Clause 19.1)

Selection for Main Examination
As mentioned in Clause 19.1:
- A merit list will be prepared based on Preliminary Examination marks.
- Candidates up to 15 times the total vacancies will be shortlisted for the Main Examination category-wise.
- If candidates securing equal marks are at the cutoff point, all such candidates will also be included in the Main Examination list.
For 599 revised vacancies, approximately:
599 × 15 = 8,985 candidates
may be shortlisted for the Main Examination (subject to category-wise distribution and tie cases).
2. Main Examination
The Jharkhand Technical/Specific Qualification Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (JTGLCCE)-2026 will be conducted by JSSC through a single-stage Main Examination.
