Eligibility Criteria: JSSC Lab Assistant Exam 2023
The Candidates must have the minimum educational and other qualification to participate in this recruitment process is given below as under-- Nationality- Indian
- Educational Qualification: The candidate must have graduation degree consisting any two paper (one as honours/core and other as subsidiary/generic Elective paper) among Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a minimum of 50% marks for General/BC-I/BC-II and 45% marks for SC/ST/PwD categories candidates in each subjects.

JSSC Lab Assistant Exam Pattern
Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) will conduct only one Single Stage (Main) Examination named 'Jharkhand Laboratory Assistant Competitive Examination (JLACE) 2023' for the recruitment on lab assistant posts in different laboratories of govt institutions or departments under govt of Jharkhand.
The case if the examination will conducted in more than one day or groups, there will be NORMALIZATION of marks and based on this normalized marks Final Merit List will be prepared.
- The exam will be conducted in one stage or Single Stage (Main Examination)
- All the questions will be of Objective Type and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- There will be no any deduction of marks on wrong answer.
- The question paper will be in both Hindi & English medium except language paper.
The candidate has to go through the following patterns and stages of examination to get selected on the above stated posts as per JLACE 2023 Official Notification.
- There will a total of Two Paper in the Main Examination making a contribution of 100 marks by Paper-I and 300 marks by Paper-II, and each paper will be of 3 hour duration.
- The Paper- I will of qualifying in nature as its a language paper and the final marks or to be normalised is of Paper- II only, which is counted for the preparation of Final JSSC CGL 2023 Merit List.
JSSC JLACE 2023 Examination Pattern (Paper Wise)
- The Paper- I will comprises General Studies & Language - Hindi Language based paper.
- The Questions are of Objective Type and Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) type.
- The questions are based on Unseen Passage and Hindi Grammar.
- This paper will be of Qualifying in Nature and its marks will not be added for Final Merit List.
- The candidate have must to score a minimum of 33% marks in this paper to be treated as qualify. If candidate is unable to gain qualifying marks then their further papers will not be evaluated.

- This paper viz Paper - II will consist Graduation paper in which recruitment will carried out.
- The Questions for this paper are also of Objective Type and Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) type
- Each Question carries 2 Marks for correct answer and no any deduction for wrong answer.
- This paper will contains a total of 150 questions.
- The question paper will be in both Hindi and English medium.
- The candidate will have to a minimum 50% marks for Gen/BC-I/BC-II and 45% for ST/SC candidates, to make it to be considered for JSSC Lab Assistant 2023 Final Merit List.

JSSC Lab Assistant Exam 2023 Syllabus
The Syllabus for Jharkhand Laboratory Assistant Competitive Examination (JLACE) 2023 has been briefly discussed below for all two papers viz Paper- I and Paper-II.
Paper- I : General Knowledge & Hindi Language (100 Marks)
General Studies : This portion includes-
- General Knowledge and its application in societies.
- Current incidents and affairs in daily life at state, country and international levels.
- Contemporary subjects, Scientific developments, national and international awards, Indian languages, Books, scripts, currency, capitals, games and players and important incidents.
- History, geography, culture, environment, economical aspects, national movements, importance of resources and agriculture, panchayati raj system, political structure, social development, constitution and governance of India.
- General awareness of geographical presence, historical aspects and political situation of Jharkhand.
- General science related subjects based on observation in day to day life. This may upto 12th level.
General Knowledge Related to Jharkhand State: This portion includes-
- History, geography, culture, arts, language- literature, places, minerals-mines, industries of Jharkhand.
- Contribution of Jharkhand in National Movements.
- Development schemes, game-players, known personalities, citizen achievements at national and international importance.
- Different operating devices of a computer system.
- MS windows operating system.
- Ms office including MS word, MS excel, MS Powerpoint, etc.
- Mechanism of Internet surfing.
This portion of paper includes-
- Hindi Unseen Passage related questions - 25 questions
- Hindi Grammar related questions - 25 questions
