Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has released the notification (Advt. No. 21/2023) and set for direct recruitment for the post of Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) on 64 vacancies.
Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) is going to conduct the written exam for Department of Women, Child Development & Social Security, Govt of Jharkhand to recruit 64 CDPOs in different medical or state owned institutions and departments that insures gradual monitoring and development of children in the state.

JPSC CDPO Prelims Exam Syllabus
Stage- I: Preliminary Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The preliminary exam will consists of two papers with a total of 200 marks which includes a contribution of 100 marks each paper.
Paper - I : General Studies ( 100 marks)
- The history of India and its national movements in colonial era.
- The geography of India and world
- The governance system of India & its economy
- The History, geography, economy and culture of Jharkhand state.
Paper - II : General Study (100 marks)
- The Contemporary incidents (current affairs) across the Jharkhand state, country and the world.
- General Science (For this, you don't need to be an expert on this matters, but must have a knowledge and understanding on this, which is expected from an educated and civilized person)
- Mental ability, logical reasoning and analytical ability.
- Both the papers viz. Paper- I and Paper- II will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) type.
- Medium of Question Papers will be of both Hindi & English
- Time duration : 2 hours (each paper)
- An extra 20 min will be given to the visually challenged candidates.

JPSC CDPO Mains Exam Pattern
Stage - II : Main (Written) Examination ( 400 marks)
This stage of JPSC CDPO Examination 2023 will consist of a total three papers viz paper- I, paper-II and paper-III.
Paper- I : Hindi (100 marks) : This will be of a qualifying in nature and the candidate have to obtain a minimum of 30 marks out of 100 marks.
In case, if the candidate is unable to do so, their other papers viz paper-II and paper-III, will not be consider for the evaluation.
Paper - II : General Study ( 200 Marks) : The paper II will be of general study paper that will consist of two papers making a equal contribution of 100 marks by each paper.

Paper - III : Optional Subject (200 marks) : This paper named optional subject will also consist of two papers making a equal contribution of 100 marks by each paper.

JPSC CDPO Main (Written) Exam Syllabus
Paper- I : Hindi (100 marks)
This paper will be of class 10 level as per of Jharkhand Vidyalaya Pariksha Samiti or Jharkhand School Examination Committee (JSEC).
This paper will examine the candidates' ability of correct writing and explanation in hindi.
Marks Distribution will be as per given below-
- Essay Writing- 30 marks
- Hindi Grammar- 30 marks
- Sentence Setting- 25 marks
- Summary Writing- 15 marks
